We are looking for a proactive Safety Engineer Contractor to join our engineering team, ensuring the highest safety standards across our innovative maritime projects.

If you are dedicated to protecting lives and assets in a high-stakes environment and thrive in a dynamic, innovative atmosphere, this role is tailored for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Product Safety Assurance in the design of equipment, adhering to customer specifications.
  • Integrate safety considerations into the design process, considering the entire product lifecycle.
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of the Project Safety Management System for equipment design and delivery.
  • Adapt working practices as necessary to ensure that product safety is managed efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Resolve a variety of Product Safety engineering challenges, compiling technical reports and delivering presentations.
  • Develop safety arguments for diverse equipment, utilizing all aspects of the product safety lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with Product Safety standards as defined by statutory, business, and customer requirements in heavy-duty equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of Product Safety Engineers across the organization.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in the specialized field of Product Safety Engineering, with a successful history of delivering a Product Safety Management System (PSMS) within a complex system environment.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering/Systems/Safety discipline.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Possess CEng or equivalent experience with the potential to achieve it in the near future.
