Compliance Analyst Job Description

Drax Group is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst to join our Wholesale Market Compliance (WMC) team. As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's trading and generation operations comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate compliance advisory and assurance activities across the group's trading and generation operations.
  • Deliver physical and financial regulatory compliance across the group.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial teams to build trust, confidence, and respect while challenging the status quo.
  • Continually manage and improve policies, processes, systems, and capabilities in line with the latest regulations.
  • Perform BAU activities and provide compliance guidance to trading, commercial, and strategy colleagues in relation to current and forthcoming regulatory development activities.
Requirements:
  • Education to degree level with a basic understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets.
  • Prior experience working with commercial teams, including 24hr trading functions.
  • Understanding of energy/financial wholesale markets and regulated risks associated with Energy Market regulatory framework.
