Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Head of School

East Lane Primary School, a leading institution in education, seeks a highly skilled and organized Executive Assistant to support the Head of School in their daily operations.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of the Head of School's office. This includes handling correspondence, managing office supplies, and coordinating events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced secretarial services, including dictation, minute-taking, typing notes, proofreading, and filing.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the executive office, ensuring an efficient and well-organized environment.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for school events, including Parents' Evenings and Open Days.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Support in producing school documents, such as Staff Handbooks and Student Planners.
  • Support training and development initiatives, managing lesson observations and updating records.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and excellent proofreading abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Commitment to long-term employment and contributing to the success of the school.
