Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our warehouse management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within set deadlines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity, including the implementation of lean techniques and process improvements.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately recorded and that stock movements are recorded accurately.
  • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, and that the warehouse is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and transport companies, ensuring that all communication is timely and effective.
  • Develop and implement training programs for warehouse staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems and processes, including inventory management and stock control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • GCSEs Level A-C, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent qualification.
