Norse Group's SHEQ Department is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Advisor to become a vital part of our Environmental, Quality, Health & Safety Team on a permanent basis, working full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Environmental Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Group adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental regulations by actively supporting the implementation and monitoring of our Integrated Management Systems (IMS). Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing, updating, and enhancing the environmental Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Gathering, evaluating, and interpreting environmental performance data across the Group.
  • Assisting in the preparation for ISO certification audits.
  • Conducting investigations into accidents and incidents related to environmental issues.
  • Facilitating toolbox talks and delivering presentations to both the team and the broader organization as needed.
  • Identifying risks and hazards, providing support to managers in developing effective solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience in a similar role within the industry, along with:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management (or equivalent qualification).
  • Associate Membership of IEMA (AIEMA), with a commitment to pursuing Practitioner Membership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable legislation and best practices governing environmental management.
  • Capability to assist with or conduct environmental audits.
  • Confidence in delivering training and presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience in conducting accident investigations.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence to fulfill the travel requirements of the position.
