SHEQ Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Manager to lead our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality team. This pivotal role will ensure excellence in health, safety, quality, and wellbeing, embedding a culture of safe working, environmental awareness, and quality across the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the SHEQ team, fostering a proactive safety culture within the company.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems, ensuring accurate reporting of data and statistics.
  • Drive regulatory and legislative compliance, adhering to the company's Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
  • Lead on CDM regulations, control of asbestos regulations, and the building safety act to ensure compliance.
  • Engage with senior management to support operational safety and provide sound advice and direction.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, making recommendations for change and monitoring near-miss data to reduce workplace accidents.
  • Develop and maintain company policies in line with Health & Safety legislation.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent level of experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points to meet the travel requirements of the role.
