Key Responsibilities
The Emergency Care Support Specialist will be engaged in a variety of non-clinical activities aimed at enhancing patient care and supporting clinical staff. The position requires a commitment to a flexible work schedule, including potential evening and overnight shifts.
Core Duties Include:
- Transportation Duties:
- Safely driving healthcare professionals to patient locations while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness.
- Keeping accurate records of medical supplies utilized during shifts.
- Reception and Support:
- Acting as the initial point of contact for patients and their families at designated care centers.
- Assisting clinical staff during service hours.
- Engaging with patients through in-person interactions and phone communications to check on their well-being.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the care facility.
- Inventory Management:
- Utilizing various software systems to monitor and manage stock levels of medical supplies.
- Restocking supplies at the end of each shift.
- Understanding and implementing stock rotation practices to ensure the efficacy of medications.
