Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Band 3 administrator to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team within the SET CAMHS clinic, contributing to the SET CAMHS Service.
NELFT is a well-established provider of mental health services for children and young people, already delivering these services in multiple London boroughs. It is also recognized as one of England's largest NHS Foundation Trusts.
Main Responsibilities
Desirable Skills:
- Utilizing Systmone database or similar to analyze patient information and update records as necessary.
- Performing general administrative tasks, including the preparation of patient correspondence, managing incoming/outgoing mail, handling emails and queries via telephone and post, photocopying, and filing.
- Collaborating with team members, including clinicians and senior management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as email, Excel, and Word.
- Engaging directly with service users and their families in both telephone and face-to-face interactions.
- Experience in an administrative role within the NHS, education, social care, or a similar environment.
Essential Skills:
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
- A friendly demeanor and adaptable mindset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
About NELFT's SET CAMHS
NELFT's SET CAMHS caters to individuals aged 0-18 residing in the Southend, Essex, and Thurrock areas, offering services free of charge at the point of entry. The service also supports young people with special educational needs (SEN) up to the age of 25.
Any young person facing emotional wellbeing or mental health challenges, or any parent, guardian, professional, or educator of a child experiencing such difficulties, may access our services.
Working for Our Organization
Starting with NELFT:
NELFT places significant importance on ensuring new employees are properly welcomed and integrated into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undergo a comprehensive induction lasting up to two weeks, which includes mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of necessary equipment. New starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and participate in various drop-in sessions focused on engagement, health, wellbeing, and key processes.
Probationary Period:
This position will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from this period unless they are currently partway through a probationary period or are bank staff.
