About the Role

The Alliance Vetting Researcher will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis of intelligence and information related to individuals requiring vetting, including applicants, current staff, contractors, volunteers, and non-police personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess sensitive and confidential information to prepare vetting files for submission to the Force Vetting Officer.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including managing incoming queries and maintaining contact with other vetting agencies and organisations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of vetting decisions and other enquiries.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. They will also have strong communication and administrative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The role requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to undergo relevant security clearance checks.

Working Arrangements

The role is based at Police Headquarters, Winfrith, Dorset, and involves working 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.

The role attracts no allowances, but offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
