Facilities Maintenance Technician

Permanent Position

Location: London

Competitive Salary + Benefits (Overtime compensated at time and a half)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general property maintenance and repairs across various locations, including carpentry, tiling, and repairs to doors, windows, and locking mechanisms.
  • Install and repair guttering and drainage systems.
  • Conduct basic plumbing repairs.
  • Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Supervise contractors as necessary.
  • Assist colleagues as required.
  • Provide coverage for absent colleagues and offer on-call support.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Maintain regular communication with colleagues, supervisors, and management to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Participate in seasonal shifts and on-call rotations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.
  • Knowledgeable in a building trade, such as carpentry, door and window locks, decorating, plastering, and tiling.
  • Strong numerical skills for measurement and calculations.
  • Possess recognized qualifications (C&G, NVQ).
  • Basic understanding of current Building Regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on confidentiality.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Significant relevant experience.
  • Able to follow specific instructions accurately.
