Facilities and Maintenance Technician - Job Objective
To ensure the seamless operation of our client's Base Maintenance Facility.

Facilities and Maintenance Technician - Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections on all company vehicles, both airside and landside, ensuring completion of inspection documentation and reporting any issues related to serviceability and reliability.

Perform regular checks on all company Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) and forklifts, ensuring proper documentation and reporting of any serviceability or reliability concerns.

Guarantee that all company vehicles are adequately fueled for daily operations.

Manage scaffolding, access platforms, ground power units (GPU), and safety barrier fencing, ensuring thorough inspections and reporting of any serviceability or reliability issues.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the hangar facility, which includes:

  • Assisting in the management of the hangar's waste disposal program.
  • Enforcing waste management protocols.
  • Supporting various ad-hoc tasks or projects, including the operation of forklifts, MEWPs, and tugs.

Facilities Responsibilities:
Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the facility, which includes but is not limited to:
  • Performing ad hoc repairs.
  • Responding promptly to Facilities request tickets.
  • Painting of offices and facilities.
  • Relocating office furniture.
  • Engaging in ad hoc projects as directed by the Facilities & HSE Manager.
  • Conducting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Advising on waste collection needs.
  • Completing and organizing company forms and inspection sheets.
  • Coordinating and scheduling vehicles and equipment for servicing, repairs, calibration, approvals, and MOTs.

Facilities and Maintenance Technician - Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing similar tasks within an industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing small to medium-sized DIY projects and repairs.
  • Experience operating forklift trucks, MEWPs, and commercial vehicles is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Competence in handling tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery.
