Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Officer to join our team at the Wales Medicines Strategy Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and commissioning pharmacy and optometry contracts in the West Midlands region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake complex and detailed information analysis of specific projects/reports.
  • Deliver against organisational objectives, achieving quality outcomes, prioritising own workload and working to tight deadlines.
  • Support implementation of strategic modernisation/service improvement, public health, workforce or commissioning strategies and any associated action plans.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives.
  • Experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area and further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or health information systems development.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area.
  • Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes.
Key Skills and Attributes
  • Clear communicator with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Evidence of success in effective project and programme management.
