Senior Environmental Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Officer to join our Water Quality and Environment team in Central. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing environmental risks across designated regions, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations, and facilitating Environment Agency audits.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, assess, and manage environmental risks associated with operations across designated regions.
- Regularly review and amend environmental permits to ensure they remain up-to-date and reflective of operational practices.
- Facilitate and lead Environment Agency site inspections, coordinating with internal teams to ensure sites meet audit requirements.
- Conduct regular, risk-based site inspections to ensure compliance and readiness for external audits.
- Manage the Compliance Assessment Report (CAR) process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of any non-compliance issues.
- Utilise PowerBI dashboards, TeRI BI reports, and eSCADA trends to monitor environmental performance across sites.
- Lead collaboration between multiple teams, including front-line operational teams, process scientists, and flow compliance technicians, to address and resolve compliance issues.
- Develop and implement improvements to current data reporting practices, ensuring that reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Experience in waste water recycling treatment processes.
- Ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement, with a track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements.
