Join MASS Consultants, a global technology company trusted by highly secure organisations, as a Senior Development Engineer in our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS).

As a key member of our Countermeasure Development team, you will provide technical advice and support to customers on countermeasure development, engineering support, and delivery. You will also contribute to internal initiatives on innovation and research, projects, training, and bid delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX, using MATLAB, Python, and Simulink.

• Collaborating with our software development team to ensure the assurance process for all releasable software products is followed.

• Working with customers to analyse, design, model, and verify countermeasure techniques across various real-world scenarios.

• Optimising countermeasure parameters for best performance against specific threats using deterministic, stochastic, or exploratory models.

• Mentoring and coaching junior team members to develop their skills and expertise.

• Contributing to the development of new features and capabilities within CounterWorX.

• Collaborating with the team to identify and address customer challenges and requirements.

• Working in a dynamic and rapidly growing team, with opportunities for career development and growth within the EWOS group.

Requirements include:

• A detailed understanding of Physics/Mathematical principles at degree level.

• Experience with at least one of Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems within a defence setting.

• Experience developing deterministic, stochastic, or exploratory models, and optimising model performance.

• Proficiency in programming software such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.

• Experience in at least two stages of model development, including design, build, integration, test, and deployment.

• Ability to generate simulation requirements, configuration, and analysis reports.

• Experience modelling/programming RF/EO/IR countermeasure techniques (platform protection).

• Ability to mentor and coach junior team members.

Due to the highly secure nature of the projects, you must be willing to undergo security clearance and adhere to company policies and procedures.
