About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Supervisor to join our team at Marks and Spencer. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer experience, and leading a team of customer assistants to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the retail plan and deliver KPI measures for your area of accountability.
  • Recruit and develop great talent within the customer assistant team, supporting succession requirements for the store and region.
  • Ensure the store trades safely and legally, protecting customers, colleagues, and the M&S brand.
  • Deliver an inspirational and consistent visual customer journey in-store, inspiring customers to shop and buy more often.
Technical Skills and Experience
  • Ability to lead a team to deliver excellent customer service and KPIs across the store.
  • Good understanding and up-to-date knowledge of commercial, visual, operational, and people processes and systems.
  • Use data and MI to identify commercial, visual, cost savings, and customer opportunities to increase profit.
  • Good level of digital capability and understanding of all systems.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements across your area of accountability and the store.
