We are seeking a motivated individual to become a key member of our Merchandise Planning department at Halfords. In this integral role, you will take charge of generating precise sales volume forecasts and intake strategies for our Product Categories. Effective collaboration with Buyers and Suppliers is a fundamental aspect of this position.
Maintaining optimal stock levels in accordance with company guidelines is essential to maximize sales opportunities and minimize surplus inventory. You will collaborate closely with Merchandise Planners, trading teams, import operations, and the distribution center to meet critical business goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Merchandise Planner in projecting sales volume and developing intake strategies
- Oversee stock intake to align with sales objectives
- Assist the Merchandise Planner in monitoring Merchandise Planning KPIs
- Provide insights on stock challenges and performance metrics
- Coordinate effectively with various departments for seamless operations
- Participate in range evaluations and promotional activities
- Manage the clearance of outdated stock
- Facilitate communication with suppliers
- Create category performance reports
- Address inquiries from retail locations
