About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Speech and Language Therapy Team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive clinical service to pre-school and school-aged children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children with speech, language, and communication disorders, providing individualized therapy sessions and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with Nurseries, Schools, Primary Care Teams, and other Community and Specialist Speech and Language Therapists to provide integrated and relevant care packages.
  • Provide training, direct and indirect support to Nurseries, Schools, and Health Professionals, promoting best practices in speech and language therapy.
  • Work closely with Speech and Language Therapy Assistants, providing clinical support and guidance as needed.

Requirements

  • SLT Graduate/HCPC registration or working towards.
  • Relevant paediatric experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools relevant to locality clinics, preschool, and school-aged children.
  • Knowledge of national NHS, SLT education policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of a range of appropriate paediatric therapy interventions.
