Job Title: Principal Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Engineer to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our Nuclear Engineering Group, you will be responsible for leading the provision of technical support to our submarine maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of work packages in accordance with the design process to maintain and improve capabilities
  • Manage the production, checking and approval of technical documentation and drawings
  • Lead engineering analyses including calculations, component structural analysis and system fluid flow analysis
  • Act as subject matter expert and lead the provision of advice to the Head of Nuclear Engineering Group and other stakeholders
  • Manage and develop a team of Engineers with varying levels of seniority/experience
  • Control modifications to the design intent of nuclear process plant and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within pressure systems, pipework, pumps and valves and mechanical systems, or fluid dynamics, stress analysis etc.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of nuclear process plant and equipment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
