Job Title: Principal Process Engineer

DK Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Engineer to lead the provision of technical support to our nuclear submarine maintenance teams based in Plymouth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of work packages in accordance with the design process to maintain and improve capabilities
  • Manage the production, checking, and approval of technical documentation and drawings
  • Lead engineering analyses, including calculations, component structural analysis, and system fluid flow analysis
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide advice to the Head of Nuclear Engineering Group and other stakeholders on the implementation and maintenance of design documentation
  • Manage and develop a team of engineers with varying levels of seniority and experience
  • Control modifications to the design intent of nuclear process plant and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in pressure systems, pipework, pumps, and valves, or fluid dynamics, stress analysis, etc.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in nuclear process engineering
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
