Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Test and Inspection Electrician to join our client's team, a prominent firm in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire & Security industry, known for their extensive operations throughout the South West of the UK.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical installations, including Emergency Lighting assessments and necessary remedial work.
  • Complete all required documentation and certifications related to inspection and testing activities.
  • Identify and rectify electrical faults in both commercial and residential systems, including troubleshooting and rewiring tasks.
  • Evaluate the materials and labor needed for repairs and provide feedback to the office.
  • Perform routine maintenance and testing on a variety of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship that adheres to company standards, building regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Independently identify and report faults and concerns in electrical systems.
  • Install electrical systems in accordance with current wiring regulations.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide emergency electrical support as needed.
  • Undertake additional electrical tasks outside of standard working hours as directed by management.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Fully qualified with a JIB Gold Card preferred.
  • Possession of a full UK driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Company vehicle and mobile phone provided.
  • 20 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Pension scheme enrollment after three months of service.
  • Enhanced overtime rates and call-out retainer.
  • Travel expenses covered (one way).
