Job Title: Powered Access Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Powered Access Engineer to join our team in Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon, and Cornwall. As a Powered Access Engineer, you will be responsible for providing service, maintenance, and breakdown repair on access platforms and On-Board Power Systems to our well-known and wide-ranging customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on powered access equipment, including MEWPs, access platforms, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Cap certification and experience in the service, maintenance, repair, and inspection of powered access equipment.
  • Good understanding of hydraulics, mechanics, and basic fault-finding on electrics.
  • Experience in 12v / 24v power systems, vehicle ancillary equipment such as On Board Power, power inverters, and MEWPs is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
