We are excited to announce a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned Sales Development Specialist to join our Blakemore Trade Partners Team. In this position, you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding our existing client base while overseeing the execution of Trade Partner strategies and ensuring compliance with A.F. Blakemore standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulating effective retail business strategies, operational objectives, and budgets in collaboration with retailers.
  • Assessing retailer compliance with recognized operational standards and facilitating necessary improvements.
  • Evaluating retailer performance and driving enhancements in partnership with the team.
  • Managing bad debt issues and coordinating closely with head office on identified challenges.
  • Providing retailers with guidance and support regarding new developments and initiatives.
  • Offering advice and resources on general business matters and relevant legislation (e.g., health and safety, training, employment law).
  • Building strong working relationships with individual retailers and their teams while aligning with AFB Group's expectations.
  • Identifying challenges that may impact retailers' operations or financial obligations to AFB Group and reporting these to head office.
  • Ensuring the smooth integration of new retailers transitioning from recruitment.
  • Supporting the Regional Sales Manager by representing the Sales Department in project groups.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Solid understanding of Retail Operations
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • A genuine passion for Retail
  • Highly self-motivated and driven
  • Experience in Account/Field Management

Desirable Qualifications

  • Business Degree or equivalent
