Job Title: Retail Business Development Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Business Development Executive to join our SPAR Blakemore Trade Partners Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and expanding our existing SPAR convenience store network within Herefordshire & Surrounding area.

About the Role:

As a Retail Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers and their teams, ensuring adherence to SPAR standards.
  • Providing guidance and support on key business issues, including health and safety, training, and legislation.
  • Identifying and addressing trading issues or financial risks, reporting to head office as necessary.
  • Seamlessly integrating new retailers into the SPAR family and supporting their growth.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in managing convenience stores or supermarkets.
  • Account management experience with B2B accounts, ideally in the convenience or food retail sector.
  • A valid UK driving licence and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for retail.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with a good understanding of retail operations.
