CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a prominent commercial building in North London.

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to contribute your expertise to the smooth operation of a large-scale facility. As part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and upkeep of various mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on air conditioning units, including filter changes and cleaning of fan coil units.
  • Troubleshoot and reset chillers to maintain efficient cooling operations.
  • Monitor water treatment systems, conducting temperature checks and ensuring proper functionality.
  • Oversee the operation of mechanical plant equipment, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
  • Handle plumbing repairs, such as unblocking toilets and resolving minor drainage problems.
  • Diagnose and repair pumps and motors to ensure reliable performance.
  • Monitor the building management system (BMS) to track key parameters like hot and cold water temperatures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, with a strong mechanical focus.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or C&G in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to provide certified copies of trade certificates.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £24-£25 per hour, paid via umbrella company.
  • Continental shift pattern: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
  • Opportunities for overtime.
