As an Environmental Safety Consultant within our Environment & Safety division, you will play a crucial role in advancing SOCOTEC Group's mission by delivering expert safety, health, and environmental support throughout the UK.
In this position, you will assist in our Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) by conducting both external and internal audits and inspections for SOCOTEC and our clients. You will help uphold our health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring that we consistently meet our ISO 14001 and 45001 standards and certifications.
We are looking for a dedicated advocate for health, safety, and environmental principles. While multi-site experience is preferred, we welcome candidates with the right background and a willingness to learn, as we provide comprehensive training. A readiness to travel across the UK to support our fixed locations and project sites is essential.

To excel in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
- 1-2 years of experience in a related position
- A foundational understanding of laboratory practices and environmental activities (e.g., Legionella, Asbestos, Air & emissions)
- Knowledge of environmental legislation concerning waste management and sustainability commitments
- Experience with management systems such as ISO 4001 and ISO 14001
- Possession of a NEBOSH certificate (general/construction is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided)
- IOSH membership or progress towards it
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to various UK sites
