About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join our team. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, housing standards, and public health legislation. You will work closely with food businesses, including manufacturers and retailers, to ensure they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of food premises to ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations
- Investigate complaints and take enforcement action where necessary
- Work with food businesses to identify and address any issues or concerns
- Provide guidance and support to food businesses to help them improve their compliance
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or a related field
- Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board
- Proven experience of working in Environmental Health, with a focus on food safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
