As a key member of our School Admissions Appeals Service, you will provide administrative support to school appeal panels at hearings, ensuring that all proceedings are conducted efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a professional clerking service at school appeal hearings, ensuring that all proceedings are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute agendas and papers for school appeal hearings, ensuring that all necessary information is included and that deadlines are met.
- Take accurate minutes of school appeal hearings, recording all aspects of the meeting, including the panel's deliberations and subsequent decisions.
- Produce and send out decision letters to parents, ensuring that they accurately reflect the factors taken into consideration by the school appeal panel.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of school appeal hearing results, ensuring that all information is accurate and easily accessible.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assimilate complex information and provide clear and concise advice to school appeal panels.
- Proficient in the use of databases, spreadsheets, and templates, with the ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of the service.
