About the Role

As a Data Science Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving data-driven innovation within Visa's internal functions. You'll be responsible for championing the strategic application of data science to solve complex business challenges and unlock new opportunities across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of data science initiatives that address key business objectives within Visa's internal functions, such as Marketing, Product Development, Strategy, and Operations.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with internal teams to foster a data-driven culture and drive impactful solutions.
  • Leverage your expertise in predictive modeling and machine learning to enhance profitability, optimize card and payments acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project scope, and develop comprehensive data science methodologies.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights and compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the field of data science to continuously enhance Visa's capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in data science and analytical roles within a business environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems, including Hadoop/SQL and Apache Spark.
  • Proficiency in data analytics/programming tools such as Python or R.
  • Experience applying predictive modeling and machine learning techniques to solve real-world business challenges.
