We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Porter to join our team at Chartwells - Independent. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of customer care and cleanliness in our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of public areas, including the lobby and other designated spaces.
- Support housekeeping, restaurant, and banqueting staff in setting up rooms and moving furniture as required.
- Handle reception duties, such as booking theatre tickets or making restaurant reservations, as needed.
- Respond to customer requests and provide excellent customer service.
- Run errands and perform other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
- Ensure customer safety by placing and removing signage indicating wet floors or other hazards.
- Be adaptable and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Experience in delivering high-quality customer care and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Take initiative and make decisions that are in the best interests of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability.
