We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing timely and effective patient-centred assessments to those with acute needs within our hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments within the Emergency Department, Acute Medical Unit, and Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (FSDEC) settings.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans that address the physical, functional, and social needs of patients.
- Supervise and support junior staff members, including physiotherapy students, to ensure high-quality patient care and professional development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practice in physiotherapy care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the evaluation of service delivery.
- BSc Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- HCPC registration.
- At least 18 months of experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist within the NHS.
- Proven experience of working within an acute trust setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
