About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at West Kent Rehabilitation service based in Tonbridge. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to adults with a wide range of physical, medical, or developmental problems affecting their ability to achieve and maintain independence and safety in the community or return home following rehabilitation at a community hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex discharge planning for patients with complex social needs and complex moving and handling needs.
  • Support junior staff and therapy assistants in the development of our teams.
  • Provide support for colleagues across sites, requiring a driving licence and a car.

Person Specification
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • Degree in Physiotherapy
    • Current HCPC registration
  • Essential Experience:
    • Evidence of working with adults with multiple comorbidities, with complex social situations
    • At least 2 years post graduate experience
    • Evidence of working with older people in relation to physical rehabilitation
    • Evidence of working within a team, extending to OTs, nurses, Drs and the wider team
  • Essential Knowledge and Skills:
    • Equipment such as a hoist, sara stedy, electric stand aid, pulpit frame
    • Effective communication with colleagues and patients, some with communication difficulties
    • Reliable, trustworthy, flexible, empathetic, good listener
