Blackfox Solutions is working with a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company based in Maghera, Northern Ireland. The company provides engineering solutions for large-scale commercial and public sector projects across the UK and Ireland.
Job Summary:We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's Integrated Management System is maintained and developed in preparation for annual ISO audits.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections and audits, and close out associated actions.
- Create and maintain accurate records on site, including management plans, risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.
- Maintain and develop the company's Integrated Management System.
- Conduct non-conformance, incident, and near-miss investigations.
- Perform supplier and sub-contractor reviews.
- Monitor plant and equipment maintenance and use.
- Carry out and plan staff health assessments.
- Promote the company's SHEQ culture through leading by example, organizing staff training, completing regular Toolbox Talks, and implementing policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the public, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar SHEQ role.
- NEBOSH certification or an IOSH-accredited degree, such as Environmental Health.
- Full UK driving license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote SHEQ.
