Teaching Assistant for English Department

We are seeking a recent English graduate to join our client school's English department as a teaching assistant. This is a full-time position, starting after the October half-term.

The salary for this role will be between £420 and £450 per week.

The main responsibilities of this position will be to assist the school's English department by supporting the teacher in their lesson delivery and working with smaller groups to target their individual needs and learning plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in delivering lessons and promoting pupil learning.
  • Work with smaller groups of pupils to address any issues they may be experiencing in their learning.
  • Ensure the classroom is a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Adhere to child protection procedures at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their skills as a teaching assistant and potentially progress into teacher training, leading to a full-time teacher position.

To be successful in this role, you must be a recent English graduate with a passion for teaching English. You will also need to be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide two employment references.
