Teaching Assistant for English Department

We are seeking a recent English graduate to join our client school's English department as a Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time position, starting after the October half-term.

The salary for this role will be between £420 and £450 per week.

The main responsibilities of this position will be to assist the school's English department by supporting the Teacher in their lesson delivery and working with smaller groups to target their individual needs and learning plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in supporting pupils with their learning development.
  • Work with smaller groups of pupils to intervene with any issues they may be experiencing in their learning.
  • Ensure that the classroom is always a safe learning environment for pupils.
  • Ensure that children protection procedures are being followed.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to develop skills as a teaching assistant and potentially progress into teacher training, resulting in a full-time teacher position.

Requirements:

  • Recent English graduate.
  • Passionate about starting a career in teaching English.
  • Willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check.
  • Two employment references.
