Teaching Assistant - English Graduate

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an English Graduate to join our client school's English department as a Teaching Assistant. This position will be a full-time role, commencing after the October half-term.

The salary for this position will be between £420 and £450 per week.

The main responsibilities of this position will be to assist the school's English department by supporting the Teacher in their lesson delivery and working with smaller groups to target their individual needs and learning plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in delivering lessons and promoting pupil learning.
  • Work with smaller groups of pupils to address any issues they may be experiencing in their learning.
  • Ensure the classroom is a safe and supportive learning environment for pupils.
  • Ensure that child protection procedures are being followed.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent English graduate to develop their skills as a teaching assistant and gain valuable experience in a supportive and well-performing school. The school is committed to providing ongoing support and development for the right candidate, with the potential for progression into teacher training and a full-time teaching position.

For this role, it is essential that you are a recent English graduate, passionate about starting a career in teaching English, and willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check. You must also be able to provide two employment references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
