About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our IS team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of all Engineering/IS projects or new digital initiatives across the UK and Asia regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Focus on engineering-related IS technical projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and assist in preparing project proposals and status updates, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Server Infrastructure: Design, build, and configure Windows servers, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Database Management: Install, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Support/Administrative Tasks: Provide level 2 and level 3 support, troubleshoot complex issues, maintain data center hardware, develop automation scripts, and participate in on-call rotations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and analytical thinking.
  • Experience with Windows Server operating systems and monitoring tools.
  • Teamwork and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • SQL Server experience and Microsoft certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL Foundations Certification or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry and its related technologies.
  • Basic understanding of VMWare, NetApp, Citrix, and other IT/IS disciplines.
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.
Travel

Minimal travel is required, with occasional visits to other UK or European sites.
