Meetings and Events Manager Role

We're currently recruiting for a Meetings and Events Manager to support our Meetings and Events Operations team. Our team delivers high-end events and meetings in a luxury hotel environment, and we're looking for someone to join us in this exciting role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the M & E Operations Manager, you'll ensure a deep understanding of service excellence standards within Meeting and Events and deliver an exceptionally high standard of guest experience.
  • You'll take full responsibility for assigned events and coordinate the team to fulfill all aspects of the function as per the function sheet.
  • You'll coordinate the setup of rooms and public areas in accordance with standards, ensuring rooms are maintained to 'show round' standards at all times when not in use.
  • You'll ensure all guests entering the event space are warmly welcomed and served as appropriate.
  • You'll implement the appropriate bar procedures for every event and ensure payment is taken for every drink where required.
  • You'll handle all guest complaints and feedback positively, seeking to resolve all issues where possible.
  • You'll create a cohesive and motivated Meeting and Events team for each event, ensuring morale and team spirit are maintained.

About You

  • You'll have in-depth knowledge of Meetings and Events Operations within a multi-million-pound hotel revenue operation in a 5-Star environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, logistics, management, and leadership skills are essential for this role.
  • You'll have proven organizational skills, work well independently, and be confident in establishing rapport effectively.
  • You'll have a good command of English, both verbal and written.
