About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Consultant to join our team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality dermatological care to patients, maintaining the highest clinical standards.
  • Share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Dermatology Department, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Teach and train junior staff and medical students, promoting knowledge and skills development.
  • Ensure active participation in continuing medical education (CME) and contribute to departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to the development of our services, ensuring sustainability and alignment with NHS Net Zero targets.

Requirements
  • Wide experience in all aspects of Dermatology, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Teaching and training experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate junior staff and medical students.
  • Experience in clinical audit and clinical governance, with a strong understanding of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Desirable: Mohs/Surgical Fellowship or equivalent experience.
