Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel / Chief Risk Officer in delivering their objectives. This role will be hybrid working with 2-3 days in the Edinburgh office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diary Management: Support the General Counsel in effectively managing their time, forward planning of schedule, and responding promptly to accommodate evolving priorities.
- Reporting and Scheduling: Assist the General Counsel in building departmental action plans and reporting schedules, and then maintaining and managing those.
- Project Coordination: Assist the General Counsel with projects assigned to them.
- Correspondence Handling: Assist with management of correspondence received, drafting responses where appropriate, to ensure customer/stakeholder receives a timely response.
- Travel and Expenses: Ensure all travel and accommodation requirements are arranged for all UK and Overseas visits, and are fully compliant with the organisation's policies and procedures.
- Administration: Maintain office systems, including data management and filing, in line with relevant policies, including GDPR.
- Board and Company Secretarial Support: Assist with Board and Company Secretarial related tasks.
- Compliance: Comply with all policies and deliver against all relevant statutory, regulatory, supervisory, and legal obligations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience of supporting an Executive at Board or senior level, ideally gained in a fast-paced / agile environment.
- Experience of working with senior staff and key influencers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- High-level interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Self-motivated and ability to prioritise well, align competing priorities, and deliver to tight deadlines in a high-pressured environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team player with a can-do attitude and sense of humour.
- Ability to work across teams and office functions.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of strategic priorities and objectives.
- Demonstrate high-level customer service.
- Willingness to accept responsibility and make decisions.
- Ability to work independently and be capable of organising own workload and priorities without supervision.
- Confident and capable dealing with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
