About the Role

As a Functional Assessor with Gaia Recruitment, you will play a vital role in evaluating the impact of health conditions and disabilities on an individual's daily life. This challenging and rewarding position requires a unique blend of clinical expertise and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of claimants' health conditions and disabilities, gathering evidence and clinical information to inform decision-making.
  • Develop comprehensive reports detailing the impact of health conditions and disabilities on daily life, including analysis of observational data and supporting evidence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and informed decision-making.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • Post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
  • Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and dig deeper.
  • Ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
  • Demonstrable experience with using IT and Microsoft Office, as well as remotely accessing systems such as MS Teams.
