We are currently on the lookout for a Food Service Support Specialist / Delivery Driver to join our essential team.

In this role, you will assist in basic meal preparation and ensure outstanding food service to both students and staff, while also managing food deliveries across the premises.

Your responsibilities

  • Transporting meals to designated locations while adhering to strict timelines.
  • Loading and unloading food items and ensuring presentation meets specifications.
  • Completing a standard checklist to confirm all food items and utensils are ready for service.
  • Ensuring that display equipment is operational and reporting any issues.
  • Collaborating closely with on-site chefs to meet service standards and menu requirements.
  • Managing special deliveries and verifying against orders and customer specifications.
  • Maintaining proper storage of catering items at the required temperatures.
  • Assisting with stock deliveries and inventory management.
  • Performing cleaning duties in kitchen and service areas.
  • Providing friendly and professional service to all clients and customers.
  • Adhering to all health and safety protocols and maintaining relevant records.
  • Following all driving safety regulations while operating vehicles on public and private roads.
  • Reporting any vehicle maintenance issues to your supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

  • A full, clean driving license is essential (must be 21 years or older with a minimum of 2 years driving experience)
  • Previous experience in food service is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good organizational abilities
  • Capability to lift and transport heavy items
  • Familiarity with the local area
  • Understanding of food safety and handling practices
  • Knowledge of relevant health codes and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Capacity to work efficiently and effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail is crucial for success in this role, including accuracy in order delivery and adherence to delivery instructions.
