About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Case Executive to join our Restructuring Services team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting senior colleagues with the progression of Members' Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) assignments, with a view to taking on responsibility for your own portfolio of MVLs as you develop your skills within the team.

The MVL Centre of Excellence in Birmingham acts as a central hub for all MVL matters in the United Kingdom, providing a unique opportunity to work with our Insolvency Practitioners in other regions. You will work across all sectors, including owner-managed, SMEs, and multi-national organisations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting senior colleagues in the completion of MVLs.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Preparing client reports, internal review documents, and letters.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting with monitoring compliance and risk procedures.
  • Adhering to statutory deadlines.
  • Providing general administrative support to the senior members of the team using MS Office and specialist insolvency software.
  • Liaising with creditors and dealing with creditor claims.
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate with a drive to learn and progress within the role. You will possess strong interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships, analytical skills to think critically to solve problems, and the ability to identify issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen.

You will also have excellent written and oral presentation skills, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid workplace. A minimum Grade C (Grade 5) in GCSE Maths and English is required, and a minimum upper second-class degree is preferable.
