Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Home Manager and oversee all aspects of our culinary operations. Your role is vital in ensuring that we deliver exceptional catering services while adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire catering process within the facility, ensuring a high-quality dining experience.
  • Lead and motivate the catering team, focusing on performance management and development.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety protocols.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, equipment, and resources efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Hold an intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certification from a recognized institution.
  • Familiarity with health & safety practices, including COSHH regulations and food safety standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in culinary leadership and team management.
  • Basic understanding of dietary needs for the elderly and how food choices can affect medication.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of kitchen tools and equipment.

Required Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering meals according to established menus.
  • Adaptable, creative, and able to collaborate effectively within a team or work independently.
  • Basic computer literacy.
