We are thrilled to present a position for a Technical Sales Engineer to become a vital part of our expanding Commercial division at SPT Labtech. The successful candidate will ideally be situated near our operational hub in the UK. The primary duties involve enhancing the sales of our innovative HexAuFoil grid range, part of the renowned Quantifoil brand, by cultivating existing partnerships and exploring new business avenues. The Technical Sales Engineer should have a comprehensive grasp of the sales process and excel in establishing new customer connections. Additionally, exceptional communication and presentation skills are crucial for effectively demonstrating our offerings.
About SPT Labtech:
SPT Labtech's Quantifoil division stands as a global frontrunner in the production of specimen supports for electron microscopy. Our recently introduced HexAuFoil ultra-small hole gold grids have played a pivotal role in propelling advancements in cryo-electron microscopy, particularly in drug discovery and molecular biology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage CRM tools, professional networks, and email outreach to generate new sales leads and sustain existing client relationships.
- Identify and engage potential clients to stimulate demand for HexAuFoil and Quantifoil products.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients globally, focusing on North America and Europe.
- Provide education on HexAuFoil, conduct product demonstrations, and offer ongoing support.
- Regularly report sales performance to the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to relevant internal teams.
- Offer administrative assistance, including generating quotes and updating CRM records.
- Participate in training sessions to ensure a robust understanding of the Company's Product Portfolio.
- Uphold the company's Vision, Mission & Values Statements.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a biology-related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in life sciences consumables is required.
- Must be located within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Experience in both sales and technical teams is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with the sales cycle and laboratory settings is beneficial.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand scientific terminology related to life sciences are essential.
