About FX eTrading Engineering

FX eTrading Engineering is a team within Citigroup Inc. that specializes in designing, developing, and maintaining electronic trading systems for foreign exchange transactions. Our team is responsible for creating cutting-edge technology solutions that enable our clients to trade foreign exchange with speed, efficiency, and accuracy.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our FX eTrading Engineering team as the Head of FX eTrading Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring a high-quality team of engineers, working with cross-functional teams to define and implement solutions that benefit the business, and driving the design and development of system architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and inspire a high-quality team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement solutions that benefit the business, including technical implementation and thought leadership.
  • Drive the design and development of system architecture, including working with end-users of the systems and enhancing the quality of deliverables.
  • Ensure staff follows Citigroup Inc. documented policy and procedures, and maintain desktop procedures and supporting documentation for filings.
  • Lead and deliver local staff forums, present global, regional, and location news and updates to engage team in the progress of the organization.
  • Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department, and ensure transparency and consistency across teams.
Requirements
  • Proven understanding of FX eTrading technology, highly preferred or with other eTrading asset classes within Markets.
  • Ability to develop a team that is seen as the engineering role model for the organization.
  • Proven track record of building new systems, replacing legacy systems, and renovating existing systems.
  • Strong systems (software, hardware, networks) knowledge required to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Exceptional communicator who loves working with people, confident communicating at all levels from an individual team to the entire enterprise.
  • Highly credible hands-on engineer, confident to deep dive into a product and codebase and offer detailed, constructive analysis and feedback.
  • Awareness of industry trends and leveraging new technologies as appropriate.
  • Experience in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams.
