About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Inspector to join our Construction Operations team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that all construction sites, plant yards, and related areas adhere to the highest health and safety standards.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, plant yards, and other areas involved in construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide expert advice to Construction Contracts Managers and Site Managers on health and safety matters.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance health and safety performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on inspection findings and recommendations.
- Create toolbox talks and bulletins to promote awareness of health and safety best practices.
- Collaborate with Site Management teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the construction industry, current health and safety legislation, and experience in a related field.
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
- CSCS card.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and coach others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
