About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Inspector to work primarily with Construction Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting construction sites, plant yards, and other areas supporting construction activities to ensure relevant health and safety regulations are complied with and health and safety best practice is adopted.

You will be the main point of contact for Construction Contracts Managers and Site Managers for the provision of expert advice, development of existing procedures, and oversight of implementation. Your role will involve monthly site inspections, producing reports, and liaising with our Site Management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspecting construction sites, plant yards, and other areas supporting construction activities
  • Ensuring relevant health and safety regulations are complied with and health and safety best practice is adopted
  • Providing expert advice to Construction Contracts Managers and Site Managers
  • Developing existing procedures and overseeing implementation
  • Conducting monthly site inspections and producing reports
  • Liaising with Site Management teams

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the construction industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of current legislation
  • Experience in construction, H & S, or other role
  • NEBOSH qualified
  • CSCS card
  • Good level of IT proficiency
  • Driving license
