The Health and Safety Lead is a critical position within Churchill Estates Management Ltd, responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership on all health and safety matters across the company's portfolio.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of current legislation and experience working in a complex, fast-paced business environment.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and support on health and safety matters to colleagues, contractors, and customers.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and targets, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Embed a proactive health and safety culture across the organization, driving continuous improvement and minimizing risks.
- Produce robust management information, including regular reporting and contributing to Board reports.
- Develop and implement training matrices, supporting colleagues in their health and safety training and development.
- Deliver high-quality communications to stakeholders on changes to health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Ensure systems and procedures are in place to meet legal compliance, including accident, incident, and RIDDOR escalation processes.
- Collaborate with the Property Services team to ensure works are risk-assessed, undertaken correctly, and minimize disruption on site.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety professional who can drive our health and safety strategy forward. The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record in health and safety, with experience in developing and implementing effective strategies and policies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current legislation and best practices in health and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and minimize risks.
- Professional qualifications in health and safety, such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
