About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Head of EU Research Funding to join our Research Development team at Nottingham Trent University.

The successful candidate will have significant expertise in EU funding and the ability to navigate the operational side of EU funding. They will also be someone with the skills to develop relationships across our academic community, and with prospective partners, both academic and non-academic.

The role holder will be responsible for developing relationships with researchers and their collaborators to develop clear, detailed, coherent project proposals. They will also work with colleagues and collaborators to develop large, strategic bids with other funders, such as Horizon Europe, CDTs, Research England E3, or UKRI Centres.

About Us

The Research Development team is part of the broader Research Strategy and Operations team, which also has responsibilities across Research Governance, Policy, Pre-Award functions, and working closely with the Doctoral School, Research Culture and Environment team, and relevant colleagues in other Professional Service Departments.

We operate on a hybrid basis, with colleagues combining working across our campuses and from home. We strive to provide a high-quality service to our academic community and develop highly functional relationships across Schools and Professional Service Departments.
