About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of EU Research Funding to join our Research Development team at Nottingham Trent University. The successful candidate will have significant expertise in EU funding and a proven track record of developing and implementing successful research funding strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EU research funding strategies to support the growth of our funding portfolio across all disciplines and funders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with academic and non-academic partners to identify and pursue new research funding opportunities.
  • Work closely with researchers and their collaborators to develop clear, detailed, and coherent project proposals.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on EU research funding opportunities and requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in EU research funding and ensure that our team is well-informed and equipped to respond to changing requirements.
Requirements
  • Significant expertise in EU research funding and a proven track record of developing and implementing successful research funding strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with academic and non-academic partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop clear, detailed, and coherent project proposals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of EU research funding opportunities and requirements, with the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
